Full disclosure: I don’t shop on Black Friday. Or Thanksgiving. Shopping isn’t the most enjoyable activity, as far as I’m concerned. Neither is the risk of a royal rumble over $2 laptops. But, I do enjoy giving gifts to people I love.
And I especially like giving books as gifts.
Well, and getting books, too. (hint, hint)
I thought, on this crazy day of shopping, I’d give a few suggestions of books you could give and who might like them! (click on the book cover and you’ll be transported to a buy link!)
Perfect for reading aloud as a family. This gorgeous story is coupled by beautiful illustration. Definitely one to get for under the tree!A great devotional/study book. It’s all about building community. This is a fabulous book for just about any lady on your list! Especially the coffee lovers. 🙂This might just be my favorite book that I read all year. It. Is. Amazing. Patti Hill is such a talented author. Great. Great. Great novel. This book by Tracy Groot won the Christy Award (like the Oscar for Christian Fiction) for Historical Novel. And it’s on sale for $5 at Baker Book House. Great for history buffs!Great idea for the dads! This book is full of stories about fatherhood that inspire, encourage, and entertain. This is likely the only Amish themed book you’ll ever see me recommending. But this one is all about how to be money wise like the Amish. This witty book is great for the person seeking a simpler life.Anybody looking for unconventional romance? This is it, I think. Just released by my editor, Dina Sleiman, this book is getting positive reviews.I just finished Into the Free and follow up novel When Mountains Move. I believe there is a third novel coming…and I’m shaky because I can’t stand not know what will happen next. These are big books, but full of tension and great story telling and writing and…and…I really liked them. Great for the bookish people in your life.
There are so many more. Books and books and books!!! But I have to get the Christmas tree up.
Oh. Hey. There’s another book you might want to give to friends and family and strangers and the postman and your kids’ teachers…(shameless…shameless…)
Tell me…what books did you read and love this year???
